Rainbow E2 Hurricane Motor Teardown & NSK Bearing Overhaul
Complete teardown and ultrasonic sanitization of the Hurricane 2-speed series motor. Worn OEM bearings are replaced with Japanese NSK precision high-speed sealed bearings. The armature commutator is resurfaced and dynamically balanced to eliminate high-pitched screaming noise and vibration.
Service Scope & Procedure
- Full motor casing disassembly and dust-sludge chemical degreasing
- Replacement of dual top/bottom high-speed rotor bearings (NSK shielded)
- Carbon brush length inspection, seating, and spring tension calibration
- Rotor armature diamond cut commutator lathe resurfacing
- Dynamic rotor spin balancing at 25,000 RPM
- Post-repair 60-minute continuous run-in and decibel acoustic check
